The Home Games project (2019) is a relational aesthetic art initiative that aims to create a range of participatory art activities for family members to engage with and experience in the comfort of their homes.
The series does not require the audience to step into a gallery but only to follow guidelines provided through instructional texts or videos. In this process, the audience morphs into the role of the initiator, observer, and participant and even becomes a part of the artwork itself.
In the “Square Game,” two participants attempt to confine the bubbles from their bubble machine within an absolute square—a shape they envision but cannot depict on paper. They are not only creating this square but also "performing" it.
For the second game, “Before The Professionalisation of Listener” participants are required to wear noise-cancelling headphones (or have their headphone volume maximized), cover their eyes, and hold each other's hands across a table, initiating a one-minute discourse. This setup explores our habitual mechanisms of listening and responding, encouraging participants to experience the pure act of expressing without the anticipation of preset feedback.
